The Lovely List

It’s March now and that’s sort of hard to believe. However, it’s raining like mad here and that’s a pretty typical sign we’re headed into Spring.

With Spring on my mind and my body nearly back to normal, I’m thinking lots about my Spring look. I’m especially excited about adding some colorful accessories to the lineup this year. I’m loving these necklaces and this one too.

I’m also sort of obsessed with Spring scarves. This one is gorgeous. Alas, this one isn’t so budget friendly, but a girl can lust.

I’m also very excited about planting this Spring. I cannot wait to put Maeve on a blanket outside and dig my hands into the earth. I love the idea of planting enormous sunflowers this year.  And, if I’m feeling particularly frisky, I might just include the whole neighborhood in my garden plans.

While we’re on the topic of nature, I am in love with this sweet kiddo iphone application. Isn’t it fantastic that you can teach your little ones about forest creatures by tapping on these lovely images?

Alright, my little one beckons. We are off to enjoy our weekend. What are you going to do? We will probably bundle up and go to the park. Maybe do some thrifting? As you can see, the little one loves it!

Have a great weekend! I’m also getting so excited about spring :) It’s going to be a good year for bright vivid colours I think! Sunflowers are a great idea…think I might plant some of those too! xoxo

We had some wonderful weather here lately and I was so glad to be able to get my little guy out to soak up some vitamin C. Unfortunately it is supposed to rain all day tomorrow and cooler temperatures in Sunday. Boo!

I love thrifting!! I wish we had better stores around. Sometimes Goodwill just doesn’t cut it.

Thanks, Leigh. That’s the one coat that fits my more womanly frame these days…. Thankfully, I can fit Maeve in there with her moby too. xoxoxox

Such a lovely list. I, too, am eager to get outdoors and get the garden going….for now my solace is a pad of graph paper and little sketches to indicate what is going where! And thrifting, oh thrifting – it is the BEST! Have a great weekend! :)

It is raining like crazy here, so we are inside, baking bread, biscotti, cleaning up the cabinets, decluttering! I wish spring was here and I do need a make over for spring! My closet is full of black, brown and grays. I NEED a change.
Please take pictures of your gardening progress…it might inspire me to play in the dirt too:) Have a great week!

      Ilke,
I’ll try to take pics of the gardening process. Currently, it seems I’m building a giant ditch. Ha! xoxoo

I torture myself by browsing Anthropologie’s website as well. [Sigh.] Thrifting is a good cure!

Dinner-plate-sized sunflowers, how I miss those! We don’t have anything like that in southeast Texas — no sunflowers, no lilacs, no daffodils, no tulips (unless in a pot or bouquet). Can’t wait to move to NC in a few months for temperate climate flora! Like your lovely apple trees!

    Cheers,

Robin, I just added the Mixed Color Tagua necklace to my favorites list the other day – I love those big chunks of color and the fact that they’re big without being clunky. Good choice! I spent my weekend attacking spring scarves on my knitting needles while the wind was howling and it rained cats and dogs.

      Liz,
Great minds and similar styles, I guess!

Let me know how your knitting designs progress. It would be fun to have you as an advertiser someday. Your work is GORGEOUS!

Thank you! And I will! I’m hoping to have my first blog post up in my new home tonight. The collection is small (three!) right now, but I have about a million directions I’m heading in.

Both of these photos are gorgeous. The trees in the first one just scream for spring. Now all we have to do is get through the rain :)

Your body back so quick? Yay! I’m hoping for the same :-)

Oh, Michelle….I have 12 lbs to go and my hips are still sort of splayed. I think you’ll fare better. How are you feeling? How is the little one?!!! xoxox
