Hi. I hope you enjoyed your week. If you live here in Seattle, you probably basked in the brief rays of sunshine. It was wonderfully invigorating, but so fleeting.
Those rays, however, did get me thinking about farmer’s markets and mounds of fresh asparagus. It’s just around the corner! If you live somewhere where you already have a bounty of asparagus, I highly recommend making this pizza. It was a staple in our household last year.
And, if you need something cute to carry your vegetable loot, try this adorable bag on for size. Or, maybe this one, which already looks worn-out in the best possible way.
There’s not a whole lot of time in my life for things other than baby rearing and this blog lately, but I did have time to make a pinafore for Maeve. I used this free pattern. It was so easy!
When I eventually get a bit more time, I’m going to try making this oilcloth tablecloth. Isn’t it adorable and just perfect for meals on the patio and baby messes too?
Finally, what do you think of the photo at the top? K took it last weekend during an engagement shoot. The whole photo session was modeled after the movie, “A River Runs Through It.” You can see the rest of the photos here. Breathtaking.
I will see you all next week. Happy adventures this weekend!

I was going to say that I LOVE the photo! The colors are fantastic and the pose is so romantic! Happy Spring!
Where do I start on this lovely list? The pizza looks right up my alley. I love potato and goat cheese on my pizza and the addition of asparagus seems perfect. Eek, baby pinafore
The engagement shoot is glorious. The colors, oh the colors. Muted weather with pops of earth tones, just wow.
Love that pizza recipe! Fresh asparagus is soooo close! There is an asparagus farm just down the street from us that only grows asparagus and the taste is spectacular! I love the photos, what a wonderful idea…they are gorgeous! Have a great weekend xoxo
Oh how I miss asparagus. I saw them on sale at nearby grocery store, but they’re scrawny & dry looking.
The woman in that photo is gorgeous! Have a nice weekend!
I love the photo at the top. It’s just beautiful!
Our farmer’s markets are already open. Haven’t had a chance to visit yet (that whole baby rearing thing you mentioned), but I’ve made plans to go in two weeks. Fresh Gulf shrimp is on my list – already have a recipe picked out for it!!
Those engagement photos are amazing…I couldn’t help but look through the whole bunch!
Also, amazing is that asparagus! It makes me crave springtime and farmer’s markets.

That pizza looks so good. Asparagus is our favorite veggie. My husband had never tried it until he met me at 19. Darn shame, but glad I could clue him in.
You’re husband is so talented. Those photos are beautiful. I imagine the couple was thrilled to get them back. Happy Saturday!
All these things are perfect. I love oilcloth, it’s so simple and nostalgic. Gorgeous photos too!
A River Runs through it has always been one of my favorites as I grew up fly fishing with my dad. What a great story to tell – the photos are beautiful. Can’t wait to snag some of the lovely spring asparagus, too. Delish.
The engagement pictures so lovely! I now wish we had a professional photographer for our wedding!
I love the pizza idea with potatoes and asparagus! Looks so spring-like!
