I love giving and receiving cookbooks. I pour over them like good novels. The possibilities are endless! You won’t be surprised to find out I’ve always wanted to do a list of cookbooks that includes books I love and those after which I lust.
If you can’t feed your friends, you can inspire them to feed themselves.
Homemade. Cooking from scratch.
Fuel your cheese addiction. Artisan Cheese Making.
Odd Bits. In case you ever wondered what to do with the rest of the animal.
One of my old favorites. The Zuni Cafe Cookbook.
Momofuku Milk Bar. Do I even need to explain?
Sustainable seafood never looked so tasty. Good Fish.
Eat together, of course! The Family Meal.
A Day at elBulli. Because it is always fun to peak inside a world class restaurant even if you might never eat in one.
Another favorite to use again and again. Around My French Table.
The Good Egg. Who doesn’t love eggs?
Because it’s pretty and I love Thomas Keller. Ad Hoc at Home.

Great list! I know I’m hoping for a few cookbooks under the tree this year, although my bookshelf is already overflowing
I LOVE cookbooks! These look like great suggestions!
Thanks for the tips! Most of them are on my wishlist and I possess two of them… ,-P
Cheers,

I’m intrigued by the egg book…indeed.
I LOVE cookbooks, and I love giving other people cookbooks. I think by now my friends/family have come to expect cookbooks from me….I can’t decide if that’s a good thing or bad thing.
Oh I also love cookbooks. I wish I could make all the recipes that come printed on them. But I was looking at Maeve, and I was thinking that soon she will be wearing a pony tail and that will make us really old.
She´s lovely.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. HEALTH AND GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!!!.
we are definitely on the same page here — nothing beats sitting down with a new cookbook, opening one up christmas morning or turning back to that one recipe again and again. cheers!
Great list, Robin! Look at those curls on little M!!
LOVE your list. You should cook from them and post reviews.
Any of those books would be happily received in my stocking! Maeve’s cuteness: off the chart!
Ah yes, I too like to curl up on the couch with a good cook book. My shelves are overflowing with them, yet I just can’t seem to get enough!
Thanks for your lovely comment on my blog. You’ve led me to yours, and it’s just lovely!

I love the pictures of Maeve with the cookbooks! I scored Tartine Bread and Plenty this year. Not too bad, I do have my eye on Artisan Cheese Making at Home though!
