The Lovely List

Seattle Art Museum for Kids

Seattle Art Museum for Kids

Maeve loved her recent visit to the Seattle Art Museum.

Do you take your wee ones to museums? Where do you go? I would love to hear your thoughts.

Now, some links.

What room is complete without a sweet wall decal?

Learning to sew? Here is a brilliant post on hemming.

You probably already have a cute wall calendar. If not, however, I like this one a lot.

The alphabet never looked so beautiful.

I’m currently lusting after this baking cookbook.

So timely. Perfect hot chocolate.

I never thought I would put Maeve in ruffles until I saw this amazing romper.

I need this bag for spring.

I’m still sort of a quilting novice, but if my friends keep pumping out offspring, I will be an expert. In the meantime, I love the idea of whole cloth quilting.

Did you see the latest copy of Seattle Bride? A wedding shot by my talented husband is featured!

Happy Weekend.

    Hi!

I just stumbled upon your blog when I was searching for images of my fiance’s and my wedding venue – Inn at Ship Bay! We’re getting married up there this August and I can’t wait! I saw your wedding post and loved the photos.

I also love your blog! Subscribing immediately. I look forward to reading more.

I just have to say “get the ruffles”. So many cute things I didn’t buy for my kids because you think: they’ll only be in it for two months; it’s too expensive; they’re under one, they don’t care; etc etc. But then they hit an age (my youngest is two) when a)they refuse to wear things, b) they look ridiculous in some things, and you’ve missed your window of opportunity. Damn. Damn. Damn.

At what age did you start taking Maeve to museums? I’d love to take baby Emory (1.5 mo.) but am terrified of potential crying.

      Hi Bekah,
Thanks so much for your comment and congratulations! I think you should definitely take Emory to the museum. If he cries he cries. I wouldn’t worry about it too much. It’s amazing how understanding people are. And, really, it’s not a library so what do they expect?! Here’s a post about Maeve’s first visit to the museum. She was only 1 month old! http://achowlife.com/2011/01/beef-bourguignon-weekends-with-maeve.html xoxoxox

Freddie loves museums too. When he was a little baby we used to go To V&A, Tate Modern and Royal Academy of Arts a lot. Now we started to explore Science Museum, Imperial War Museum and Transport Museum and he loves all the vehicles and planes. Next up on the list is Natural History Museum and David Hockney exhibition which should be great with all the colours. London has got a lot to offer!

That’s wonderful! I can just see you and little Freddie wandering around all those gorgeous galleries. So fun! xo
